Toronto is behind its 285,000 home pledge – and the required pace is rising

Toronto built 74,339 homes in 2022-2024 – 26% of the pledge with 30% of the time gone, CMHC reports 2025 starts fell to their lowest since 2009, so the gap to the ~30,000 a year required pace is widening, not closing.
