The St. Paul school district's general fund budget has shrunk slightly in the last two years, but federal grants related to the coronavirus pandemic have caused a big increase in the district's total spending.
Amounts shown are as adopted by the school board in June of each year, before revisions. The General Fund pays for regular and special education classroom activities, support services, transportation and building maintenance. GF Fully-Financed are activities fully paid for by grants or contracts, including federal COVID-19 relief funds. Other includes food service, community service, building construction and debt service.
