More voters think Republicans are too extreme

When asked, more voters now say that the Republican Party is too far to the right than those who say the Democratic Party is too far to the left.

The Argument's survey of 1,603 national registered voters, with 1,533 complete interviews and 70 partial interviews, was fielded nationally between Sept. 16 and 21, 2026. A likely voter screen was also applied, and the results shown are of likely voters. The margin of error for the full survey is ±2.7%.
