Thanksgiving grocery prices: Snapshot from Noc. 5 & 6, 2025

We built a 12-item grocery list for Thanksgiving dinner and checked prices at seven Fort Worth stores: Aldi, H-E-B, Kroger, Target, Tom Thumb, Walmart, and WinCo. At each store, we photographed the shelf price of every item. To keep the data consistent, some prices were adjusted by weight or count. For example, if a store sold paper plates in a 70-count package, we calculated the cost per plate and scaled it to show the equivalent cost for 100 plates. This same method was used for other items sold in different sizes.
