Georgia cases of COVID-19 among Nursing Home Staff, May 2020-July 2022
Falling in line with national trends, Georgia nursing home workers saw the greatest spike in COVID-19 cases in January 2022, according to data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Georgia's nursing home residents first experienced a spike in COVID-19 cases in August 2020. Similar to nursing homes across the U.S., facilities in Georgia experienced two additional waves of COVID-19 infections in late 2020 and early 2022.
