O'Connor carried half of 32 city wards, including the most populous

O'Connor won the primary by five percentage points, or about 3,300 votes. Gainey's vote share fell by 10 points in the vote-heavy 14th Ward compared to 2021, and he cleaned up with 88% in his home ward, the 12th. Note: Election Day votes have not yet been reported in three of 402 precincts: 19-10, 23-2 and 17-1.
