SLO County COVID-19 cases per capita by zip code

Communities in northern San Luis Obispo County have been hit hardest by the coronavirus. Areas with higher concentrations of Latino residents — who are more likely to work in essential industries and endure crowded housing conditions — have also been heavily impacted. Here's a look at how the number of cases per 10,000 residents compares by community.

COVID-19 case data is current as of August 14, 2020. This map does not include the 12 cases that haven't been assigned a location or are under investigation, nor the 189 cases at California Men's Colony. Population and race/ethnicity numbers were sourced from the U.S. Census Bureau's ACS 2018 5-year datasets. Communities with smaller populations have higher margins of error in their datasets.
