Percent of New Parents in PFML States Who Take or Do Not Take Leave by Child Birth Year
Sample includes parents under 65 who were employed before the birth of their first child. The PFML states in the analysis include California, Rhode Island, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and DC. A few late adopter states did not have paid family and medical leave programs by those years and are grouped in the non-PFML states for the analysis.
