Household Income in Philadelphia Hits New Peak

The median household income in Philadelphia surpassed $60,000 in 2023, the highest level after adjusting for inflation since at least 1979. The gap in income between the city and the U.S., which was as high as $23,000 17 years ago, has narrowed to less than $18,000.
