Line chart showing that the share of U.S. adults overall who say they are satisfied with K-12 education in the U.S. today peaked in 2004 at 53% and was 36% in 2023, the lowest it's been since 2000. Among parents, the share who say they are satisfied with their oldest child's K-12 education was 83% in 1999, 67% in 2013 and 76% in 2023. The share of parents who say they are satisfied has always exceeded the share of U.S. adults overall.
