2024 MBA Pay: Healthcare

Death and taxes – the two certainties in life. The former is one reason why healthcare has grown increasingly popular among MBAs in recent years. Sure enough, two of the world’s top business schools have staked their claim in the field. Last year, Harvard Business School placed 33 graduates in healthcare, who averaged $167,745 to start. 25 Wharton School graduates also ended up in healthcare, raking in $163,465. Stanford GSB graduates were also bullish on healthcare, as 11 graduates earned $158,636 – after being the top-earners in the field at $174,111 on average in 2023. At the top of the scale, a Harvard and Wharton MBA each started at $275,000. At the same time, in true trickle-down fashion, a graduate of Indiana University’s Kelley School snapped up a $205,000 base.
