Includes nonelderly adult enrollees with private insurance from large employers. Enrollees are included in the depression and/or anxiety group if they had a documented outpatient or inpatient diagnosis of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), mild, moderate, or severe depression, or multiple of these diagnoses in 2021. Enrollees are included in the no mental health diagnosis group if they were not treated for any mental health diagnosis in 2021. Enrollees with mental health diagnoses other than GAD and depression are not represented in figure. Data does not include payments for services that enrollees do not claim under their employer coverage.
