Very Low Food Security Found in Eight Demographic Categories

The prevalence of very low food security was statistically significantly higher than the national average among the following selected household characteristics.

For households with Black, non-Hispanic household reference persons, households with children headed by a single woman and households with income below 185% of the poverty threshold, very low food security was more than double the national average.
