Sexual assault: estimates for VIC, QLD, SA and WA have a relative standard error of 25% to 50% and should be used with caution. Estimates for TAS, NT and ACT have a relative standard error greater than 50% and are considered too unreliable for general use.
The victimisation rate represents the prevalence of selected crimes, expressed as a percentage of the total relevant (state or territory) population. The rates are based on survey respondents' experience of personal crimes in the 12 months prior to interview.
