The Gophers athletic department's total ticket revenue — of which more than 90% comes from football, men's basketball and men's hockey — has endured some volatility in recent years.
A nearly $28.5 million peak in 2014 came from a football season-ticket price increase and an outdoor hockey game that drew more than 45,000 fans. Those upped prices might have also reduced the impact of flagging attendance, with the net change from 2012 to last year being $1.7 million.
