Two in 10 say they have run out of food in the last month

The latest COVID Impact Survey finds about 2 in 10 Americans say they ran out of food in the past month before making enough money to buy more.

The national survey of 2,047 adults was conducted May 30–June 8 using a sample drawn from NORC’s probability-based AmeriSpeak Panel, which is designed to be representative of the U.S. population. The margin of sampling error for all respondents is plus or minus 3 percentage points.
