Number of apartment contracts signed in Manhattan per month

Manhattan recorded nearly 1,000 apartment contracts signed in March 2026, a 6% increase over March 2025 and the highest March total since 2023. Co-op and condop deals accounted for 54% of transactions, in line with the average of the past two years. April is often the strongest deal month of the year, and early signs suggest this year will slightly outpace last April’s activity.
