Number of apartment contracts signed in Manhattan per month

Manhattan reported 796 apartment contracts signed in February 2026, making it the slowest February total since the pandemic. While there was a seasonal uptick in activity compared to January, inclement winter weather likely tempered momentum relative to prior years. March 2026 also appears to be steering towards a year over year decline.
