Number of apartment contracts signed in Manhattan per month

With just one day of August 2026 contracts still to be reported, Manhattan has recorded 669 signed residential apartment contracts so far this month, a n11% year-over-year decline. While some of the slowdown reflects the typical late-summer dip in activity, the numbers also suggest that the market is cooling from the stronger pace seen during the first half of the year.
