Water woes

The Savannah region faces a water shortage, with the city of Savannah and north Bryan County, home to the Hyundai EV factory, both in need of more capacity. Hyundai will be served in the short-term by four wells from the Floridan Aquifer but economic development officials are developing a plan to replace those Bulloch County sources with water from the Savannah River. However, the closest connection points are 12 miles and 20 miles away.
