Phillipsburg potential violations and fines cited by state

The New Jersey Department of Health outlined potential violations and fines largely related to mold and asbestos concerns in town buildings during a meeting July 9, 2019, with town officials.

*"Continued disregard or obstructionism in having the police removed from Corliss Ave. could result in a Willful Violation and expose the town to a fine of $70,000 plus $7,000 per day until abated," Phillipsburg says in a report on the New Jersey Department of Health conference.
