Pennsylvania autopsy reports are often difficult for the public to obtain 

Of the 41 Pennsylvania counties where the author requested autopsy reports, only 3 released records without a fee. More than half did not respond or stopped responding to requests, and coroners in 10 counties denied initial requests.
