Water use on the Paso Robles groundwater basin increased far beyond sustainable yield

Data from the latest annual report of the Paso Robles subbasin show that the water use on the basin increased during the drought. Much of the increase was due to agriculture demands. The red dashed line shows where the estimated annual sustainable yield is for the basin, which is 61,100 acre feet.
