Erosion of Democratic Support Among Black Voters

Philadelphia’s wards with a majority Black population have overwhelmingly supported Democratic candidates in presidential elections. Support peaked for Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012, but dropped for Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020.
