The Philippines Announces New Sites for U.S. Military Access

A 2014 cooperation agreement has allowed the U.S. military to operate from and station troops at five locations in the Philippines. Amid rising concerns over China’s role in the region, particularly when it comes to Taiwan and the South China Sea, the two countries expanded their agreement to include four new locations, which have just been revealed.
