Nineteen states and the District of Columbia have laws that confiscate guns from people deemed dangerous
States with Extreme Risk Protection Order laws or that are in the process of passing such laws
The map shows that the red flag law has been implemented in 19 U.S. states and in the District of Columbia, with the aim to prevent people who are at risk of violence to self or to others from purchasing or possessing firearms.
