Satisfaction with democracy declined slightly in 2023

The percentage of respondents who stated satisfaction with democracy has dropped from a high of 57% in the early 2010s to 41% in 2023.

Data based on the responses of 39,074 people surveyed across 24 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean. Figure for 2023 includes data from Belize, which was excluded in LAPOP's Pulse of Democracy report.
