Data are based on phone calls to 6,156 outpatient mental health treatment facilities, listed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, across the United States. Facilities were contacted in December 2018 and were asked a series of questions, such as whether they offer autism care, accept Medicaid and are public or private.
