Parks Canada notes the data from 2016 onward is most accurate and reliable because the source is the Parks Canada Reservation System. The agency stated there are some small inconsistencies when a comparison is done of the manually calculated numbers with the system numbers and on various spreadsheets. There is a +/- rate of error of about 8-12 per cent for all data before 2016.
