Nasdaq composite's rise – and return – to 16,000

The Nasdaq composite is a stock index with more than 2,500 common equities listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market. It declined sharply after the dot-com bubble burst in 2000 and again in 2020 at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
