How many times each law enforcement agency chased each year per 100,000 people.

The rate of pursuits per 100,000 residents was determined using population data from the U.S. Census Bureau for for each year the data was collected. For Richland County, we only have data starting in 2021. The data for this graphic was compiled based off a mixture of public, online records and records obtained via email requests and FOIA requests. Sumter is the smallest city in our data.
