Extreme Heat in Concord, NH

On each of these days, it was so unusually warm that some Concord residents would have struggled to cool down even in the middle of the night, putting them at significantly higher risk of heat-related illnesses.

NOAA calculated this number by counting the number of days when the daily minimum apparent temperature (the actual temperature adjusted for humidity) in Concord exceeded the 85th percentile of the city's historical July and August temperatures (1981–2010). This means that for each day counted here, the temperature was above 68.1 degrees Fahrenheit even in the coolest part of the night.
