MBA Pay: Media and Entertainment

When you think Media and Entertainment, you probably picture New York City and Los Angeles – not Boston and Philadelphia. Yet, the highest-paid graduates don’t necessarily come where you might expect in this field. That starts with Palo Alto, where 13 Stanford GSB grads averaged $155,000 to start in their Media and Entertainment careers. The 2nd- and 4th highest-paid grads hail from Harvard Business School and MIT Sloan (at $153,750 and $135,000 respectively). Sandwiched between them is Wharton at 3rd, where grads come in at $150,000 to start. Interestingly enough, 4 New York and Los Angeles MBA programs rank 5th through 8th in MBA pay for Media and Entertainment: NYU Stern, Columbia Business School, UCLA Anderson, and USC Marshall. UCLA Anderson and USC Marshall also placed the highest number of graduates in the field at 23 and 16 respectively (with Columbia Business School adding 13 more).
