Sharp Rise in Pa. Teacher Attrition

In Pennsylvania, 7.7% of all teachers — a total of nearly 9,600 — left their positions in the 2022-23 school year and are no longer teaching in the state. The increase in the attrition rate from the previous school year, as well as the number of teachers who left their positions in 2022-23, is the highest on record.
