Northern border crossings go south

After a steady year-over-year increase in Canadian border crossings into the United States at checkpoints in and around Buffalo and Niagara Falls, numbers began dropping off in February 2025. These are the crossings nearest to Rochester. Individual crossings are down by 18% — or 1.5 million — through October.
