The Worldwide Governance Indicators (WGI) project constructs aggregate indicators of six broad dimensions of governance. This visualization shows the scores of the Lower Mekong Countries on Voice and Accountability. Voice and accountability captures perceptions of the extent to which a country's citizens are able to participate in selecting their government, as well as freedom of expression, freedom of association, and a free media. The direction of the arrow indicates whether a country's percentile score has risen or declined; the point of the arrow is 2020, and the back of the arrow is 1996.
