The rate of population growth of B.C. metro areas since 2021. Metro areas include suburbs and other municipalities that make up a census metropolitan area (CMA). 2024 numbers are estimates. Metro Vancouver has surpassed 3 million people in 2024, according to Statistics Canada, and it had the highest rate of growth. Most other areas saw an average of 12 per cent rate of growth.
