Unemployed-Per-Job-Opening Ratio, December 2000-Present

Data is seasonally adjusted. While the officially reported UJOR value briefly rose to 1 in September 2024, in truth, there were still about 200,000 more job openings than unemployed people in this month. The actual value in September was 0.97; however, since BLS estimates round to the nearest tenth when reporting the UJOR, it was reported as 1. Data is seasonally adjusted.
