Fee types:
1) County fees: The local fee is comprised of one or more fees assessed by your county of registration. Local fees vary and are established by county Commissioner’s Courts. The fees can be used to fund county road and bridge funds, long-term transportation projects, and promote child safety programs. All state fees are collected at the Tax Assessor-Collector’s office.
2) Station fee: the portion of the inspection fee collected at the time of inspection by a licensed station.
3) State fees: includes the base registration fee, a processing and handling fee, and the state's portion of the inspection fee. All state fees are collected at the Tax Assessor-Collector’s office.
