July 2025 brings the Earth further down from 1.5 degrees C territory

26 individual months have equaled or exceeded a warming level of 1.5 degrees C above preindustrial temperatures, according to the Copernicus Climate Change Service. But scientists require more data before declaring the threshold has been officially crossed.
