Weather-related disasters dominate displacement events

Nine in 10 events that displaced people in Southeast Asia from mid-2025 were weather related. These include hydrological (floods and landslides), meteorological (storms, tornadoes, and typhoons, hurricanes or cyclones), and mixed disasters combining multiple hazard types.
