Global greenhouse gas emissions under different scenarios

This chart shows global greenhouse emissions and projections under different scenarios, from pre-Paris Agreement policies in 2015, which would be higher than where they are now based on 2025 policies and actions after the Paris Agreement. It also shows what emissions would look like if efforts were made to keep warming below 1.5 degrees celsius.

Annual global greenhouse gas emissions, in gigatonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent. The green and orange lines show Climate Action Tracker projections based on policies in place in October 2015, before the Paris Agreement was adopted, and November 2025, respectively. The blue line shows a pathway compatible with limiting warming to 1.5°C.
