Annual U.S. Refugee Admissions: 1980-2019

Each year, the President sets a cap on how many refugees the U.S. can admit. For FY2020 (not charted), President Trump lowered the cap to 18,000 a historic low. He cut it again for the new fiscal year 2021, down to 15,000.
