% Changes in Motorcycle Fatality/Injury Rates, 2022-2023

In 2023, motorcycles made up 3.1 percent of all registered vehicles in the United States. For every 100k registered vehicles, the fatality rate for motorcyclists (66.57) was nearly six times higher than that for passenger car occupants (11.61) and almost ten times higher than for light-truck occupants (6.81), as shown in this table.
