ABQ Transit security incidents including wellness/medical checks, disorderly conduct, loitering, public intoxication started at around 5.5 incidents per every 10,000 riders. Despite ridership increasing the incidents per rider have fluctuated between 4.2 to 8.3 incidents per every 10,000 riders with March 2022 having the highest rate and August 2022 having the lowest.
*Security check call types have been excluded. Security checks include officers conducting proactive/routine checks of Transit facilities (bus stops, transit centers) to ensure these areas remain safe. Many of the items logged in this category result in no further action necessary.
