As of Wednesday, the Federal Detention Center in Center City – the lone federal prison in the Philadelphia area – had reported zero confirmed cases among any of its roughly 1,000 inmates and 229 staff. All Pennsylvania county jails and the state prisons currently have review processes in place to thin their jail populations.
