First homes in London nearly 3x more expensive than North East
The cost of homes for first-time buyers has gone up modestly across the UK in the past year, but increase by 11% in Northern Ireland since 2023 alone. The average first-time house price in London is at £511k, compared to just £180k in the North East of England.
