Primary care visits among autistic and non-autistic youth

Among four groups, autistic young people had the smallest decrease in primary care use between their teenage years and young adulthood.

Researchers calculated how many young people in each group saw a primary care physician during the two-year study period. The results are cross-sectional and show differences between age groups rather than between individuals.
