NT Indigenous incarceration rates spike

Indigenous Territorians are the most incarcerated people on the planet, with three percent of Aboriginal Territorians starting last week in a prison cell. 
The Corrections department confirmed that 2509 Indigenous people were in custody as of Monday June 30 — the equivalent of 3 per cent of the NT’s total Aboriginal population.
