The designation of China as a "strategic threat", South China Sea and Taiwan Strait friction, and greater US energy independence, leads to higher risk of reallocation of US military assets. This would put the onus on Israel and the GCC for more self-defence and new tactical alliances in response to potentially greater ambition to project power by India, Iran, Russia, Turkey, and China.
